We have all seen the world economy and the shipping industry undergo many changes over the last year. Fortunately, the signs appear to be indicate an improving trend. With all of the turbulence, especially within rates, the TradeLanes Team is working harder than ever to negotiate competitive terms for you. We have seen our customer base grow in 2009 and look forward to servicing even more of your logistics needs in 2010.
I believe a couple reasons for our growth have been our focus on improved customer service to you as well as investment in tools to make our team more efficient. Two recent externally visible tools include the enhancement of this website (www.tradelanes.us) and the use of “Skype” to allow you to more conveniently talk with us. We have made other internal changes as well and one of the more exciting tools we are developing will help us provide you responses to quote requests even quicker than the current standard we have set and will allow us greater data mining capability to consider different combinations. Ultimately, this tool will help us expose opportunities to continue to drive competitive pricing for you. We are excited about this tool and plan to have it operational in the 4th quarter of this year.
